Bux-Mont Awards helps you recognize achievements

Just email or bring in your photo and tell us what size and wording you want on it and we will be sure to have your orders in time for Christmas. Just don't wait too long or the elves may become frazzled from having to produce all these last minute orders!

We apparently aren't the only ones. Kate Fratti had a great article in the Intelligencer the other day about keeping close to home and supporting your neighbors this holiday season. People seem to take their Main Streets for granted at times, and we don't like that.
While she didn't mention Sellersville by name, we still hope you will be able to find your way over here to have a look around. And if you are a merchant looking for space, there is two openings for retail space in our old location on the corner of Temple and Main, check it out.
Because Bux-Mont Awards is more than just trophies, we encourage people to come in and have a look around. A lot of people don't realize we have a personalized gift line that offers truly unique gift ideas.
Check out Kates article "Put Your Money Where Your Home Is."

make sure you scan it to see what kind of great deals the company has, store hours, and reviews instantly right from your cell.
Check this link for more info.
Bux-Mont Awards asks that you come visit our store and see the great personalized gifts we have. We are that little kiosk that sells photo mugs, mousepads & t-shirts blended nicely with a more affordable things remembered.
We sell personalized gifts because when we started the business it started out as Bux-Mont Awards & Engraving Services, not Bux-Mont Trophies.
We sell recognition first and foremost and that means a lot of things to a lot of people.

Bux-Mont Awards has been selected as a favorite place on google! Between July 1 and September 30, Google users found Bux-Mont Awards & Engravings' business listing a whopping 2684 times! Driving directions were requested 170 times.
For all these requests we have received a preferred listing on Google sticker for our window, and it has a barcode that certain phones can scan to access the coupons we have posted for you on Google!
As always thank you to those that continue to support us by choosing Bux-Mont Awards as their preferred vendor of awards and recognition products. We love working with you to give your awards recipients the very best in trophies, awards and recognition products.

We had more giving generated through word of mouth. Just telling people about us being a designated drop off location was enough to make people want to help. The capacity of people to give is truly amazing!
Thank you to everyone who donated toys and thanks to everyone involved. The proceeds go to the Pennridge FISH and alot of hard work is done through both the Chamber of Commerce and the volunteers at FISH to ensure that those less fortunate than many are able to give their kids a great Christmas.

Being a small business on main st. we know how the big box shoppers really take something away from the small town atmosphere, but we also know what a little hard work and perseverance does. Together with your help Main St. small businesses make up the fabric of a small town. We create jobs, share stories and make small towns right. Shopping on Main St provides the community backbone that the big box lacks.
We work hard to convince you that, sometimes, there is more to a product than just price. We, as a nation, outsourced our manufacturing to save so many pennies that we lost something that came with those toys you got your kids for Christmas. We've lost the essence of Christmas and gift giving and it keeps getting further and further away with each and every gift card sold.
Main St. needs you, the customer, the townspeople, to realize that you are the only way that we are here. You are the reason we exist and your patronage is greatly appreciated. You are who we thank sitting around the table when we get ready to eat.
With each experience we share with you and each person you tell about it, we are eternally grateful and it is absolutely necessary for without that one transaction and it's ensuing feelings, we would not be around.
So please think of us when you are looking for that perfect something for your loved ones, because we might just have it. While there are only three retail gift stores in town here, we also have some great eating, some awesome community hang outs, one great theater, and our retail shops are unique and awesome. We will share a story with you while helping you find that perfect gift.
Skip the mall and things remembered and remember where that local trophy shop is because we also do engraving, and will engrave on just about anything. We also do personalized gifts right, and have diversified our manufacturing capabilities to bring you just the right gift or decoration.
So please check out the town this December 1st during our Winterfest and please visit the Lily's Pad gift boutique and coffee cafe, The Copper Partridge, and Bux-Mont Awards for this seasons gift giving needs.
The community comes out in droves to support this wonderful event as the local businesses and organizations open their doors to welcome in the holidays. With carolers, Santa Claus and a tree lighting ceremony, the Sellersville Winterfest is an event looked forward to by many of Sellersvilles citizens.
My favorite part, aside from Bux-Mont Awards annual Christmas themed fridge magnet giveaway and cookies, is the Sellersville Museums annual tree decorating contest.
Trees are decorated by different members of the community and then everyone votes with their money. Change is collected in a jar placed in front of each tree, and the one with the most money at the end wins a prize. The change is then donated to a needy organization!
Please join us December 2 in welcoming in the start of the holidays! We look foward to seeing you here.

Bux-Mont Awards is one of the official toy drop off locations and if you mention this blog post when you drop off your toy you will receive 5.00 off your purchase of 25.00 in gift items for the holidays.
There are many needy families that could use your help. Toy donations are gratefully accepted, and you will make a local child's Christmas!
Thank you in advance!

Recognition means a lot:
Recognition is awards & trophies for a lot of things: fantasy sports, youth sports tournaments, year end youth sports awards, high school sports tournament and more.
Recognition can come in a corporate form: these include sales awards and employee of the month, years of service recognition and more.
Recognition is brand awareness: imprinted apparel for youth sports, imprinted shirts for small business, and imprinted promotional products fall under this category.
For the promotional products needs of our customers we have developed the site promopros.com. Promopros.com gives us the capability to better serve the needs of our promotional products customers. We realize that some awards recognition buyers are promotional products customers as well, but there is a lot of promotional products purchasers who are not, and we developed this site exclusively for them. More info on how promopros.com can help you with finding the perfect promotional products will follow in upcoming posts!

Is here and ready to go up! I can't wait to show you more pictures as the day goes on! What a relief that people will finally be able to find our store again! A big thank you to Horizon Signs for their great work in getting this thing completed in time for the Sellersville Gallery of The Arts this Sunday. More pictures of Bux-Mont Awards' new sign to follow!
The Gallery of the Arts is this weekend, and Bux-Mont Awards is hurriedly getting it's showroom ready for this years featured artist Fred Diseroad. An architect as well as an artist, Fred is most well known for his drawings of local historic homes. A number of his drawings hang in the West Rockhill Township building.
Come visit our town this Sunday and stop in to see our new digs as well as the Gallery of the Arts featured artist.
The Gallery has seen exponential growth in interest of area crafters and artisans this year, so there will be plenty of arts to take in. If you don't want to deal with the crowds at the Jim Henson Exhibit at the Michener this weekend, come to Sellersville to take in the arts!

It goes 1) the odd fellows building (our old store) 2) the Harleysville National Bank 3) the Harleysville National Bank parking lot and 4) our new store.
We moved North to the other end of the block on the corner of Main and Green streets. You will be happy to hear there is off street parking behind the building. It is in a white house and you should see the sign up at some point in the near future. Looking forward to showing it off at the gallery of the arts in Sellersville on the 20th!

The artists will be judged on a variety of categories and everyone will be competing for the Best of Show prize. The winner will be awarded the Walter E. Baum plaque honoring the top artist at the event along with $1000 in prize money.
The Gallery of the arts is put on with the goal of keeping the community involved with the arts. Visit the Galleries website to find out more, and we hope to see everyone come out and support local artists that day.
Bux-Mont Awards will once again be hosting this years featured artist, only in a new location. Many of you have heard that we have moved to the other end of the block from 201 N Main to 225 N. Main. We are now working out of the newly renovated historic Walter Baum house on the corner of Green and Main.
With the property ownership changing hands, Kelly Fox Contruction did a beautiful job renovating the building into a nice retail space to go along with an apartment on the top floor.
Having just moved, we are diligently working on getting the showroom ready for this years featured artist, Fred Diseroad.
We hope you can come join us, and be sure to leave your memories of the gallery in the comments!

Breast Cancer Awareness month has a special meaning to many people and for us here at Bux-Mont Awards it's no different.. From the race for the cure to the many other events held during the month of October people are always ordering shirts and promotional products for their events.
We have done a number of breast cancer awareness promotions in the past for our customers. We also have a great line of cancer ribbon resins for top fundraiser awards, recognizing team achievement, and donor recognition.
We have pink shirts that can be direct to garment imprinted in full color with photos or screen-printed with one or two colors. The shirts come in all sizes sm - 5xl. We use the port authority brand for our shirts because we feel they have the best quality shirts at the most affordable cost.
Have a favorite promotional product that was given to you or that your company/team gave away to donors? Neat ideas for using promotional products from promopros.com to recognize donations or increase awareness for breast cancer; leave it in the comments

Seeing that we only moved to the other end of the block we made it through and saw some great advantages as the move nears its completion. This move enabled us to keep our showroom where it was (for the time being...) while gaining some new retail space up the street at 225 N. Main (our new address. This space was going to be used for The Other Corner personalized gifts and imprinted apparel. A unique gift shop where people could skip the mall and get back to main street with their engravable gift needs.
Though that was then, as in last week, and this is now; and my how things have changed. We got a notice, at the beginning of the month, that the showroom space we decided to keep was due for a rent adjustment. A pretty substantial one at that. So substantial in fact that we decided times were tough enough to the point we had to bag the new personalized and engravable gift business and move the rest of our awards and recognition operations into the new retail space at 225 N. Main St. in Sellersville. This move will still mean good things for Bux-Mont Awards.
We are happy to have such a great, newly renovated space and while we were excited about the new production facilities, we have even more to be excited about with the move from the retail space.
This space will be highlighting some of the more unique pieces of recognition Bux-Mont Awards has to offer. The refurbished 1800's house has wood floors and clean walls that will look exquisite when filled with the high quality awards we have to offer. Look for pictures and more info to follow in the near future!

This new space is super sweet. It has been refurbished and made to look brand new just for us. The folks at Kelly Fox Construction were even nice enough to put an addition on for our work production area. For this we are very thankful.
I will say again this new space is sweet. It's got everything that the space we are currently in lacks, and we hope it lasts us a very long time (though if we had to move sooner rather than later because we outgrew this place, it would be fine with me)
I will be taking pictures of the move and keeping everyone updated. We will be answering phone calls and appreciated everyones understanding while we close for the next week and move all our stuff.
Please remember that Bux-Mont Awards and Engraving Services customers can still visit us at the same location, the only thing that is changing is where stuff is getting made. We are doing this to help better serve you, our customers, and we are looking forward to continuing to serve you to the best of our abilities.
Monday, June 22, 2009
Well a number of reasons really. Bux-Mont Awards staff works very hard throughout the year to honor our recognition obligations. Some of our customers memories lapse from time to time, yet they still need their awards for their big sales event, and we must provide those awards to maintain our name and to show you all we really do care. We always get you in (thus far) but we have earned a break. Therefore, the week of July 4th we are taking a vacation to spend some quality time with the family in the Outer Banks. Some of our extended family (our coworkers) are planning vacations at this time as well, and there are some others who will still be doing some prep work.
I know what you are thinking, and you are right, I did say that we are going to be closing the week of the 27th and taking vacation beginning on the 4th, and the reason for this is great!
We are taking the first week we are closed and moving our production facilities into a new location. The trophy/awards showroom will remain where it is, diagonally across the st. from the Washington House in the odd fellows building at 201 N Main Street. It is the production part of our business that will be moving. Everyone will continue to come to 201 N Main St. to order there awards. In this respect not much will change.
However we are going to be changing. Our production area, or where we make the trophies and plaques, is going to move across the bank parking lot to the other corner of the block. This space, the old Baum House, is going to be where our awards are made. They built on a big addition to the back end of this space to create an expanded work area so that Bux-Mont Awards can continue with it's mission of providing quality recognition services to the Bucks,Montgomery, and surrounding counties!
This space we are moving into provides the additional benefit of increasing our retail space. With a newly renovated showroom redesigned to capture the old time feeling of the original building while at the same time incorporating state of the art lighting and temperature systems Bux-Mont Awards is pleased to announce the soon to be coming of The Other Corner personalized gifts and apparel. As a division of Bux-Mont Awards, The Other Corner will expand upon the great personalized gifts we offer that not many of you know exist. Think things remembered in the mall combined with the cart that sells pictures on mugs mousepads and more. We can put pictures on a number of products to personalize the perfect gifts for a number of occassions.
The focus will be on personalized gifts for the graduate, religious gifts, and the animal lover in all of us. A new website is in the works along with a new blog to help our customers understand how the Other Corner can help them!
We are excited to get everything moved and into our new space, look for more information about the other corner as we continue to get our production space sorted out, and we start to prepare the showroom at The Other Corner.
We have a opening planned for the Annual Gallery of the Arts in Sellersville here in September. We look forward to sharing more news with you as it comes! Let us know what you think in the comments!

The awards breakfast was a great time, and one of the nicest presentation I have been to. They not only understand the importance of properly recognizing achievements; they also were able to give their awards winners the perfect recognition product for their needs. They gave away some high quality recognition pieces to some worthy individuals and I want to congratulate them here as well!
The Outstanding Small Busines Award was given to Rose Hanlon, which was accepted by her husband. With two locations the Hanlons mix a combination of good will and good taste to grow their business the right way; a high quality product and an amazing work ethic, congratulations to you both!
The President's Award for Education was given to Joan Smith of Life Long Learning. Joan had a storied past filled with people she has helped in some way or another. Joan worked in both the Perkiomen School and the Upper Perkiomen School District before starting Life Long Learning and has a passion for education and a love for learning that I could only hope to someday achieve a fraction of. Her acceptence speech touched my heart along with many in the room and underscored the need and importance of education in the future. Congratulations Joan Smith!
The Wallace H Bieler Distinguished Leadership Award was given to Liz Herman of Univest Corporation. Ella Sherwood of the UPV Library introduced Liz during a touching and emotional presentation. Last year, the award was named for and given posthumously to Wallace H. Bieler, and his wife was in attendence to see this years winner. In another touching speech you could tell everyone in the room was aware of how much of her time Liz really dedicates to helping others in her community.
Like the other two awards recipients I was touched and grateful to listen to the acceptence of these awards, and you could truly see the gratitude of the recipients as they were being presented with the awards. As they looked over the awards they were recieving, you could see the pride that went into the hardwork it took to garner these awards, and the quality and pride that went into making them.
We are glad to have provided these awards for the Upper Perk Chamber of Commerce, and are looking forward to a productive year in 2009 and beyond. Once again congratulations!

Bux-Mont Awards sells certificates and medals. These products are some of the most popular we carry but often times the more forgotten ones. We get many calls for bronze plaques and trophies. Every once in awhile people call or stop in and ask if we do banners. But people are always surprised to find us carrying certificates and medals.
For some reason it just doesn't occur to people that you can come to your local trophy shop for certificates and medals. But we, of course, are much more than just a trophy shop, and we are trying to take this time to show you that.
Our art department can even create custom certificates for you. A great way to recognize achievements.

This coming week I will be highlighting products and services we provide that you may not know about. We are working hard for you, our customers, to ensure that your needs can be met as easily as possible.
Bux-Mont Awards knows that our trophy and awards buying customers will also be needing certain things for their tournament or recognition event that, if shopping at another trophy shop, would be forced to travel somewhere else or find another source to purchase.
Not at Bux-Mont Awards, depending upon your event there are many solutions we have to offer. Leave your suggestions of things you need for your tournament or event that you can't find at your current trophy/awards shop and come back for this weeks products we offer that you might not know we sell.

Particpation awards can and should be given. That said, how participation trophies and awards are given and presented determines how effective they are. Bux-Mont Awards does not recommend giving participation awards to high school athletes. We do, however, recommend giving participation awards at the lower levels of youth sports.
As most parents can attest, at the earliest levels, participation in youth sports can be a challenge. The levels of efforts needed to ensure success at that age is great. Just getting through the rigors of trying to get in the fundamentals of any sport at such a young age is rough for all involved parties.
While it is often most challenging for the parents and the coaches, it is also a challenge for the kids. Learning many things at that age, kids need much positive reinforcement. They need to know that their hardwork will not go unrecognized and that their efforts will be rewarded.
When you are talking about creating a feeder program that teaches the kids the absolute basics, it's about having fun, enjoying your time with the other kids, and getting some exercise. Just making it through a season is reason enough to be rewarded.
I don't think that kids in higher grade levels should be given participation awards, because for them it's more of a skill game; the wins and losses count and they should. For younger children just trying to learn how fun the game can be, their participation trophies can be the difference on whether they come back next year or not.
And you don't want the next pele becoming a concert pianist because his skill wasn't given the proper chance to develop do you?
The Heart to Heart 5k, now in its 9th year, has striven to achieve their mission of raising money to provide "support for the local Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA, as well as provide monies to distribute Automated External Defibrillators to various facilities in the area, such as churches, nursing homes and other community facilities.

I think that awards and recognition services tend to be counter cyclical. With jobs being shed at a staggering rate (though starting to stabilise hopefully) everyone is worried about the future. We have lost a couple of customers jobs that we really miss, and our numbers are off pace from what we were expecting for 2009 because of it. However, with that said, we do have prospects in the pipeline and more and more people are inquiring about our services and visiting our website.
I should explain what I mean by the counter cyclical comment. I think that as jobs are shed, recognition of current employees and the achievements of those who stick around take on greater importance. If you are a HR manager and you are being faced with another round of layoffs, you understand that uncertainty is thick in the air throughout the office. Those who are staying are unsure they want to, and those who are leaving are disrupting producitivity whether they mean to or not.
This poses a tough task for an HR manager. What do you do to quell the fears of the employees who are staying? Well you implement a new recognition program or you revisit your current recognition program to utilize the newest recognition products and services available to you. Awards and recognition are like any other industry, we are in a constant state of change. There are constantly new products being introduced to the market, and there are always different theories and methods for recognition and utilizing recognition coming out. When you are focused on utilizing your human resources it becomes easy to forget about how important your recognition program is. We are here to help you find the most effective methods for recognizing employee achievements and getting the most out of your human capital. Our specialists can help your employees feel good about themselves and help them get to the next level through effectively utilizing awards and recognition.
It is hard enough sowing the seeds and weeding the garden, Bux-Mont Awards can help you nurture your good plants and make them bloom.

5 runner up awards: Consultation with our recognition professionals and 10% off of your awards order.
Bux-Mont Awards is having a contest. Winners will come from the comments on this post. We want the most creative ways that our readers give traditional forms of recognition. We all know that trophies, plaques and awards can lose their meaning if given too loosely. I don't think this has to be and know that there are a few of you out there able to help the rest of the crown give a new spin on these traditional forms of recognition.
While Bux-Mont Awards specializes in a wide array of recognition services in addition to our plaques, certificates and trophies, we also know that the tried and tested are that way for a reason. They just work. Trophies and plaques can still be effective if you work with someone who knows whats out there and what needs to be done to make recognition work for you.
Post one comment on this post about a creative way for giving away traditional recognition items like plaques, trophies, or even ribbons. We will close comments for submission in two weeks. We will announce winners shortly after voting has concluded.
The winners will be chosen by you and us. Leave a comment voting for your favorite method, and that will be factored into our decision. Thanks for your comments!

Bux-Mont Awards sells recognition products and services. Yes we can help you with your recognition needs. From Awards to Apparel!

We always look for ways to serve you the customer. There are things you need, which we want to provide for you in addition to the awards or other products you get from us. Our goal is to help you succeed through proper recognition. Whether that is corporate recognition, youth achievements, or imprinted apparel, we have a solution for you. We will continue to add to our product lines when we see a need we can fill.
With that said our endeavours have been met by our customers with great vim and great vigor. We have continued to recieve praise on the many needs we fill and have customers coming back to Bux-Mont Awards in search of more and more as we educate them on what we offer.
The demand has been rising as of late to the point where our production facilities have been outgrown. We are going to be moving our production areas into a new location in Sellersville, which is currently being renovated to suit our needs. We will still have Bux-Mont Awards trophy showroom on the corner at 201 N Main St., but where we make our trophies and plaques will have moved up past the Harleysville National Bank parking lot. We will move this production facility into the Baum House, an old historic building in downtown Sellersville that was once owned by the reknowned artist Walter Baum. This building will also have some offices for the business end & a little showroom on Main St.
Before the Harleysville store was forced to close, Bux-Mont Awards trophy showroom was going to be moved there, but now we decided to keep the awards and trophy showroom where it is and take the Baum House in a different direction. We decided to focus that showroom on our personalized / corporate gift segment. We want to be able to offer more of what we can personalize in that showroom with a focus on the clocks and corporate gifts as well as personalized gifts that people use for proms and school gifts etc. There will also be a focus on religious gifts for the many churches in our area.

We have set our goals and are looking for ways to meet our mission, help you meet your goals, teach more people what proper recongition means, and in turn make this world a little better place in 2009. We are hopeful that President Obama can reestablish our nations role in the world and do the things that need to be done to get our economy back up and running on the path toward positive growth again.
It is much business as usual here. We are trying to continue to help you meet your recognition needs. Because of the increased in the number of people using Bux-Mont Awards to recognize their businesses and organizations achievements, we have run into a space issue. The issue is that we have run out of it. We are effectively running at full capacity in our current product space. Now we know that these are good problems. However if we are going to continue to help an ever growing customer base meet their recognition needs, a change is going to be made.
This change is coming in a way that you may or may not notice. There is space in Sellersville currently being renovated for us to move our production facilities into. There is also going to be another showroom where we are going to be featuring our personalized gifts, engravables, and higher end corporate recognition and imprinted apparel. It's going to be like a Things Remembered, except more affordable, higher quality, better service and with more of a selection.
The best part of this is we are going to keep our trophy showroom where it is so that everyone used to going to 201 N Main St. for their trophy and awards needs are going to be able to continue to do so.
While we did not want to move out of our Harleysville store, an increase in production space would have proven to great a cost to undertake and continue operation of both stores in Sellersville and Harlyesville. We believe that this increase in production facilities will enable us to better help all of our customers, and better position us for future growth! Any questions or comments? Leave them in the comments below!

To that end we regret to inform you of the recent need that arose to better enable us to serve you. Due to a rent increase of 30% at the beginning of the 2009 we have been forced to vacate our Harleysville store and continue operations out of our existing Sellersville store.
We are still selling awards, and in fact we are still selling trophies, plaques and all of our recognition products. The only difference is that there will be one less location to visit to see how many different ways we can meet your recognition needs.
Please keep in mind that Sellersville is very close to Harleysville and is a 15 minute drive from most of our customers. This does not mean that we are unable to meet your needs and in fact this is exactly the opposite. While we are unable to meet the increased cost of operating out of our Harleysville store, we expect to continue to serve our Harleysville customers with the same personal service we give all of our customers.
We will still sell the same trophies, awards and plaques. We will still have all the same corporate gifts and apparel. We will continue to offer all the same processes and continue to add product lines where we see fit to continue to best serve our customers.
While we are unable to afford the increase in rent cost, we are still going to be looking for another place to operate around the Harleysville, Skippack, or Upper Montgomery County area. We are going to continue to develop a website that meets the needs of our customers who can't visit our store, and we are going to continue to add products to our website to keep in line with the mission of our company.
We can't do this without you and we are very appreciative that you can help us help you. We have been here almost 20 years and hope to be here many more to come. With your help we will! Thank you.

Bux-Mont Awards is happy to support the positive growth that comes from organized sports!
companies that don’t by 30 to 40% … A recent WorldatWork
study found that 85 percent to 95 percent of all incentive
programs reach or exceed their goals, and that the return on
investment (ROI) on non-sales employee programs (200 percent)
is actually greater than the ROI on sales incentives (134 percent)."

- Recognition greatly increases Self Esteem & Morale: All humans have basic needs... to feel needed, satisfied, and inspired.
- Recognition signifies someone notices and cares: Encouraging greater motivation and significantly improving individual performance.
- Recognition is critical in our worlds changing business climate and economic times; in the best of times, it retains employees; in the worst, it provides a powerful alternative to compensation.

- Don't do the McDonalds polaroid on the wall thing, it does nothing for employee morale. Instead do something like this in a prominent location around your office. Setting up a nice employee of the month perpetual plaque can go great lengths towards effectively recognizing their achievements and improving staff morale.
- Proper Planning prevents poor outcomes. Make sure the place you recognize your employees achievements is properly chosen.
- Publicize the event to those who can benefit from it. Make sure that all the employees know what caused the award recipient to receive this award and what is expected of everyone in order to strive to achieve.
- Make this award tough to get, measurable, and worth the outcome.
While we sell perpetual and individual plaques, we also provide our customers with advice on setting up their recognition programs. Because often times the perpetual plaque just isn't enough.

With these "figure on a base" participation trophies you get the most bang for your buck. These trophies give the kids true meaning to their accomplishments during the tough intramural season and help to recognize how far they have come. Kids love getting trophies, and as youth basketball awards, these trophies will accomplish your organizations objective and keep your league in the front of kids and parents minds alike as one of the favorites.

As children are participating in their respective leagues we are going to highlight some youth basketball participation awards for 2009.
These awards are altogether fun for the children and inexpensive for the adults. While they offer maximum enjoyment for the kids they offer maximum success to the youth organization giving the trophies out and also help out the bottom line.
We all know that trophies and recognition items in general are given to recognize achievements. This is true for champion and runner up trophies at tournamnets and youth participation trophies at the intramural level. As kids are learning it is easy for them to get frustrated. Children all grow and develop at different speeds. Good coaches recognize this and implement and work on building the skill areas each child needs most. Participation trophies recognize the achievement that is unduring a season of intramural sports and the many peaks and valleys it offers the children who participate.
This coming week, Bux-Mont Awards will be highlighting some of the new trophy designs for 2009. We will also highlight some great awards that are affordable including the spinning basketball resin picture above and highlighted in the movie posted below.
What are some of your favorite basketball participation awards? Give something other than a trophy to the kids? Let us know what you do to recognize youth sports achievements.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused!
Providing true, family-friendly entertainment, the USIFL is reaching new heights with more teams and more excitement. The Lehigh Valley Outlawz are looking to establish themselves moreso since they are freshman to this league. With the Arena Football League season over before it begins, the UNIFL is the ONLY indoor league which will embrace former AFL players
The 2009 season kicks off with the NE Surge at Lehigh Valley Outlawz on March 22 in a fully televised contest.
Being thankful the Soul won it all in the AFL last year and sad that we won't be able to see them try to repeat this season, I am excited to take the family to a couple of inexpensive nights out in the Lehigh Valley. The drive from Bucks County isn't as long as the ride to Philadelphia, and the traffic is far ahead of the ride to Philly.
Come show your support and help cheer the Outlaws onto a victory! For families on a budget in these tough times it is nice to be able to go somewhere close to home and enjoy such a high level of entertainment. Visit the outlawz website for more information.
Do you play or have you been to any indoor football league games? Let us know about your experience in the comments.

As anyone should do, we periodically review the services we have to try and find comparable service for better rates. We decided on going with a Comcast business class phone and internet because they offer a faster internet connection and comparable phone service, with decent customer service and a little better rate.
We signed the agreement and decided to get our service changed. Somewhere along the way signals got crossed and comcast switched our phone numbers without initiating the service. This is why you are getting an error message when you try to call us.
Again we are still open and ready to serve you. Thank you for bearing with us while we work this problem out.
